inflluences on my music video
In creating my music video I had many influences I was bearing in mind when storyboarding, which would have affected the speed of my editing and the types of shots that I had.

One of my influences, to a certain extent, was the music video of Chemical Brother- Guitar. This was shot from the point of view of a train going quickly down the train tracks, and every time objects passed the train, the beat of the song was in time with the objects passing the train. I thought this was incredible, especially the amount of planning that would have had to go into timing each object, and was very unique, compare to the generic music video.
Additionally, the
I tried to replicate this into a small part of my music video, at 1 minute 40, with the bars passing the screen at the same pace as the guitar solo. For this, I had to speed up the footage in I Movie. I achieved this by simply walking past the poles in a long pan to the right, giving a long shot of the background. This took about 20 seconds in real time. I felt this added another element to my music video, even though the sequence is just less than 3 seconds long.
Another influence for me and my music video was The Arctic Monkeys, "when the sun goes down." This also correlated with the guitar solo section of the music video. This music video inspired me through the sequence after the intro song's verse of the song, when the speed of the car, from which there is a point of view shot of, speeds up. I have tried to reflect this through the scene from the point of view of the car, in Southend On Sea, with the fast fowarded, point of view of the car, which matches the thrill and excitement of the guitar solo.
